The Steel group is designed for 13 & Over swimmers who want to maintain their swimming fitness level and work towards Platinum or Senior. |
Goals |

Develop a symbiotic relationship between Coach and Athlete to help the swimmer accomplish their personalized goals

Expose athletes to a healthy lifestyle including proper nutrition, consistent exercise and recovery planning

Teach proper stroke mechanics and develop biomechanical awareness inside and outside of the water

Expectations |

Required to attend ALL training sessions. Attendance below the minimal seasonal average of 75%, will be grounds reassignment at the Head Coach’s discretion.

Swimmers are expected to take responsibility for their swimming; being on time and prepared with a full equipment kit. Swimmers should communicate changes in their schedule directly with the Lead Group Coach.

Participation in all scheduled competitions is required for continued membership in this group. Swimmers are expected to attend and compete in all events as chosen by the Lead Group Coach.

Advancement Criteria |
In order to advance to the Steel group athletes must demonstrate the ability and desire to:

At least 13 years of age at that season’s championship competition.

Attend 75% of the groups practices

Has the ability to read, understand, and follow more complex intervals
-
Can consistently complete a proper streamline until their hips are under the Backstroke flags
-
Can consistently complete the following training sets
